Job summary

UC San Diego is seeking a Practice Manager to lead the Internal Medicine practice in Hillcrest. Reporting to the Associate Director of Operations, you will oversee daily clinic operations, fiscal management, recruitment, onboarding, training and retention of staff, and external marketing activities to ensure exceptional patient care.

You will supervise patient support staff, coordinate the work of clinicians with the Clinic Medical Director, and drive quality improvement, privacy and safety

Qualifications

• Nine years of healthcare experience or a related degree with five years in healthcare operations and leadership.
• Three+ years of supervisory experience and strong staff management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to train and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinic operations and overall practice performance.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and staff retention initiatives.
• Manage practice revenue, billing systems, and administrative workflows.
• Develop and monitor quality improvement programs and safety initiatives.
