Job summary

Unio Health Partners is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to help run our clinical site with senior management and affiliated physicians. You will oversee daily operations, supervise front and back office staff, and coordinate with compliance to ensure regulatory adherence and high-quality patient care.

The role emphasizes effective communication, teamwork, and strong organizational skills to maintain efficient patient flow and service excellence across multiple California locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of medical office experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Teamwork orientation.
• Organized and able to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of clinical and non-clinical care for the site, ensuring compliance with established regulations and standards including quality assurance, confidentiality, and medical records documentation to ensure effective patient care and service quality.
• Collaborates with operations leadership on development and implementation of clinic goals, policies, procedures, budget plans and work standards.
• Provides direct supervision to support staff (front and back office) and manages employee performance to ensure optimal patient flow and high clinical quality.
• Monitors and improves practice key performance indicators related to revenue cycle, patient satisfaction, and access standards to ensure adherence to performance expectations.
• Serves as the key problem-solving resource for staff on patient issues. Serves as first point of contact for patient complaints and insurance plan grievances.
• Serves as the OSHA and Compliance Liaison at clinic site, ensuring compliance with established company policies, current healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, medical laws, and ethics.
