Job summary

Ascension is seeking a friendly medical office assistant in Panama City, FL to greet patients, verify demographics, process admissions, and manage insurance pre-authorizations. You will enter charges, collect co-pays, and ensure accurate daily deposits while supporting the Ortho Trauma clinic team.

Typical duties include scheduling, documentation, and general front-office support. Prior clinic experience is preferred; a high school equivalency or one year of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable job-specific experience required.
• Professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
• Experience in a Medical Clinic or Medical Group setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors, checks patients in and out, and obtains necessary documentation.
• Verifies and enters demographic information and handles insurance authorizations.
• Enters, reviews and submits charges; collects co-pays and reconciles daily reports.
• Provides general office and clerical support to assigned area.
