Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking an LPN or RN with a MA license to provide direct patient care in a busy clinical setting. The role requires at least 2 years of nursing experience; a high school diploma and non-exempt status apply, with a 40-hour daytime schedule (8:00 AM–4:30 PM).

The successful candidate will perform assessments, assist with procedures, document care, and use EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current MA LPN or RN license required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an LPN or RN.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures and medical terminology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Trains and directs clinical staff; participates in interviewing.
• Triages phone calls and follows up on requests.
• Performs vital signs and assists with procedures and immunizations.
• Performs venipuncture, 12 lead EKGs and immunizations; adheres to CLIA standards.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to emergencies with appropriate nursing interventions.
