Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking a Clinic Laboratory Supervisor to lead personnel, technical, and scientific oversight of clinic laboratories within the Family Health Medical Clinic System. You will work with the Director of Laboratory Services and site management to evaluate testing needs, staff competency, and uphold quality standards across the laboratory.

The role includes selecting methodologies, validating procedures, managing staffing and proficiency testing, maintaining QC

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• ASCP certification required.
• Must maintain Minnesota Driver's License and driving record.
• English proficiency for healthcare communication.

Responsibilities

• Select test methodologies and instrumentation appropriate for clinical use.
• Verify test procedures and establish performance criteria, accuracy and precision.
• Determine staffing needs and assess staff competency regularly.
• Enroll laboratory in proficiency-testing programs and monitor results.
• Establish and monitor a quality control program for testing.
• Ensure instrument calibration, maintenance records, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare clinics for accreditation inspections and maintain compliance.
• Develop and evaluate quality monitors and improvement programs.
• Oversee lab supplies and inventory.
• Write procedures and conduct staff trainings and in-services.
• Develop competency programs for waived and moderately complex testing.
• Ensure compliance with NH+C’s Compliance and Ethics Program.
