Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Current New York State license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• 4 years of technical experience; 0–2 years leadership/management preferred, OR Master's with 2 years technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes department goals by selecting, motivating, and training team members.
• Leads activities of the Clinical Laboratory Operations team by communicating guidance toward objectives.
• Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates staff; ensures timely performance appraisals.
• Coordinates staffing, materials and equipment; analyzes workflow changes and implements procedures.
• Maintains quality control activities and records; ensures equipment calibration for proper function.
• Assists with budget preparation and adherence to approved operating budgets.
