Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is seeking a Patient Services Specialist for the Combest Central Community Health Center in Lubbock. The role supports clinic patient flow, serves as a primary contact, schedules appointments, prepares paperwork, receives patients, and maintains records.

Cash handling and insurance processes may be involved. Responsibilities include verifying insurance, data entry into the EHR, and assisting with mail and deposit preparation.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer service, office, or related experience.
• Additional education may substitute for the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Complete insurance verifications using the pre-visit ETM system.
• Enter relevant patient data into the EHR system.
• Assist with opening and distributing mail.
• Handle incoming checks and credit cards in preparation for deposits.
• Scan payments and deposit batches into the secured SON server for the Combest.
• Receive and process medical record requests.
• Aid the supervisor in reconciling monthly batch reports.
