Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Clinic Coordinator to organize daily clinic operations, support providers, and enhance patient experiences. The role combines clinical and administrative duties, including scheduling, ensuring medical necessity, and mentoring medical assistants.

You will work with clinic leadership to optimize workflows, training, and continuity of care, aligning with safety, quality, and service goals while maintaining compliant documentation in the EMR

Qualifications

• Five years as a Senior/Advanced Medical Assistant.
• Two years leadership experience in health care preferred.
• One year Training experience preferred.
• BLS certification and CMA/ RMA/ CCMA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient flow, obtaining demographics and preparing patient for provider visit.
• Organizes daily schedules and provides coverage to meet patient needs.
• Assists with triage, prescriptions, refills, and referrals; mentors colleagues in processes.
• Works with clinic management to develop and refine clinic procedures and documentation.
