Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy. You will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Location: 287 Main Street, Ste A2 East Hartford, CT 06118. Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm with a 12:30pm–1:00pm lunch. Pay ranges $16.00–$29.00 hourly, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Connecticut or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision.
• Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
• Verify medication stock and enter data to maintain inventory records.
• Assist the pharmacist with pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
