Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing prescriptions and clerical duties under a registered pharmacist. Hours: 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday, East Hartford, CT.

Responsibilities include filling orders, inventory management, processing wholesaler orders, and ensuring compliance with state and federal rules. Requires CT license or ability to obtain in 30 days; valid driver’s license and reliable

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Connecticut or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license.
• Preferred experience with prescription data entry.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under supervision.
• Order, receive and store pharmacy supplies; process wholesaler orders.
• Verify stock and update inventory in the computer system.
• Assist pharmacist and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Perform related clerical duties and communicate professionally.
