Job summary

Genoa Healthcare in East Hartford, CT is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health pharmacy under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. The role focuses on dispensing prescriptions, clerical tasks, and maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch, and the pay range is $16.00–$29.00 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted CT Pharmacy Technician license or the ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Reliable transportation and valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinic staff.
• Fill prescription orders and verify under pharmacist supervision.
• Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
• Verify medication stock and update inventory records.
• Assist the pharmacist and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Other duties as assigned.
