Fairview is seeking a Clinic Appointment Coordinator for the Clinics and Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN. This 0.6FTE role focuses on accurate scheduling, patient check-out, and collaboration with the care team to ensure a seamless patient experience.

The coordinator will manage waitlists, phone inquiries, in-basket messages, and queue reports, using technology to support efficient operations while maintaining a welcoming, patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Combination Education & Experience Post HS education or training with basic medical terminology and keyboarding skills.
• 1 year of customer service experience working with the public.

Responsibilities

• Accurately coordinates and schedules follow up and/or future appointments and/or procedures following patient visit with provider.
• Rescheduling appointments: Monitor reschedule list for appointments in a timely manner, contact patient, ensures provider availability, and finalize appointment.
• Communicates effectively with all members of the care team and across departments to ensure patient care process.
• Meets the needs of the patient and involves patient care team and management when necessary

Job Overview

Fairview has an immediate opening for a Clinic Appointment Coordinator to join our Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC) located in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 0.6FTE (48 hours per two weeks pay period), benefits-eligible opening.

Clinic coordinators are a valuable member of our care team and are responsible to ensure that patients, their families and guests have an unparalled excellent experience at the CSC. Each member of the clinic coordinator team is responsible for ensuring efficient operation of patient check-out processes for the clinics they support. The team works collaboratively with clinic management and staff to support the business needs of the clinic which include, but is not limited to: working wait/reschedule list, answering clinic phones, working In-basket messages, check-out, scheduling, clinic faxes, and work queue reports. The clinic coordinator actively uses and embrace technological enhancements to support their role. They maintain a patient friendly and welcoming disposition when interacting with patients and their family. They utilize strong customer service skills and promote the organizational philosophy of patient centered care to proactively meet the needs of all patients and their families during their clinic visits and/or other interactions.
