Stone Climbing in Jacksonville is looking for a hands-on gym manager for our flagship location. As a climber/operator-owned gym, we value people, climbing culture, and doing the right thing.

The role requires leading a team, driving sales and member experience, and communicating clearly with staff and members. Compensation starts between $50k–$60k with performance incentives, and the position requires a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in fitness, recreation, hospitality, or membership-based settings.
• Strong leadership and communication; ability to inspire a team of young staff.
• Passion for community, fitness, and experiential business operations.
• Experience overseeing 10+ employees.
• Sales, membership growth, and customer retention exposure.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Comfortable public speaking to groups.

Responsabilités

• Maintain safety standards and monthly equipment checks.
• Ensure cleanliness and high level of customer service; coordinate with Routesetter.
• Host events to build real connections and a welcoming environment.
• Manage expenses while maintaining gym standards; train staff on sales.
• Monitor waivers, conduct, and hazards at the facility.
