Job summary

The Gravity Vault Upper Saddle River is seeking an enthusiastic gym instructor to greet guests, support memberships, and help run our youth and adult programs. You will belay during sessions and help maintain a welcoming, safety‑first environment for climbers of all ages.

Starting at $15.92/hour plus tips, the role offers comprehensive training, complimentary Gravity Vault membership after the introductory period, and access to pro‑deals. NJ sick leave provisions apply as required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Availability: weekdays, evenings and weekends (min. 15 hours per week).
• Climbing experience is a plus but not required; training provided.
• Experience working with children is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check in customers using our POS system and answer questions in person or by phone.
• Assist customers with memberships and retail sales.
• Belay for private sessions, youth and adult classes, and parties.
• Ensure safety of staff and customers within the facility.
