Job summary

The Gravity Vault is seeking an enthusiastic team member to welcome guests, assist with memberships and retail, and help with safety and cleanliness in a busy climbing gym environment.

Belaying for private sessions and classes, with comprehensive training provided; experience with kids is preferred and a positive attitude is essential for delivering a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Availability: Weekdays, evenings and weekends (min. 15 hours per week).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Climbing experience is a plus but not required; comprehensive training provided.
• Experience working with children is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Using our POS system to check in customers and answer questions in person or over the phone.
• Assisting customers with membership and retail sales.
• Belaying for private sessions, youth and adult classes, and parties.
• Ensuring safety of staff and customers within the facility.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the facility through opening/closing procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

As an Instructor at The Gravity Vault Chatham, you represent the face of our business and have the most direct interaction with customers. Working closely under the guidance of the management team, you play a key role in delivering a consistently positive experience for guests each day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Using our POS system to check in customers and answer any questions they may have in person or over the phone.
• Assisting customers with membership and retail sales.
• Belaying for private sessions, youth and adult classes as well as parties.
• Ensuring safety of both staff and customers within the facility.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the facility by assisting with opening and closing cleaning procedures.
• Other job related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Availability: Weekdays, evenings and weekends (min. of 15 hours per week).

• Starting at $15.92/hour plus tips where applicable.
