Job summary

Sportrock in Fort Collins is seeking an Events and Programs Coordinator who will lead gym-wide events and programs, driving community engagement and growth. The role combines leadership, sales aptitude, and people management to elevate events from quarterly large-scale gatherings to monthly and weekly activations, with a focus on welcoming climbers of all abilities.

You will work with marketing and other locations to share successful programs, supervise instructors, onboard new staff, and uphold

Qualifications

• Leadership/management experience preferred (1–2 years).
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Extremely self-motivated with high standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Rock climbing experience or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Organize 1 massive community event each quarter with over 300 participants.
• Organize 1 small-scale community event each month with at least 50 participants.
• Organize at least 3 micro-activations each week with 5-20+ participants.
• Schedule and ensure smooth operations for all non-youth programs in the gym (Intro to Climbing, Climbing Techniques, Break the Plateau, Climbing Clinics, Yoga and Fitness Classes).
• Organize monthly 1:1s with all adult programs instructors.
• Coordinate with marketing to ensure high attendance and participation at all events.
• Oversee logistics at events and micro-activations and be an integral part of our climbing community.
