Job summary

Colorado Academy seeks candidates for the Climbing Head of Program to provide strategic, instructional, and operational leadership for the climbing program across the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools.

The Head of Program will establish a safe progression for student climbers, recruit and train coaches, oversee facility and equipment safety, coordinate programming and competitions, and report to the Director of Athletics.

Qualifications

• Must have highly advanced interpersonal and team leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Experience coaching climbing and developing programs.
• Must maintain safety and equipment standards.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the mission of the school.
• Oversee all levels of climbing and progression.
• Plan practices, competitions, and scheduling.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate coaches.
