Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and strong interest in tree care.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or related field.
• Experience or training for working at heights with proper safety measures.
• Completion of Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire (as required).
• First Aid/CPR and defensive driving training upon hire (as required).

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using Davey systems (DdRT/MRS, SRT/SRS).
• Work as part of a crew with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform tree pruning and removal safely and skillfully.
• Prune, thin, and remove deadwood in canopy; install cables, bracing, and lightning protection.
• Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
