Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist in Chicago, IL. You will trim and remove trees to improve health and safety, working with a crew to complete pruning, removal, and related tasks outdoors.

The role requires a strong outdoor disposition, a minimum of 5 years in the industry, and the ability to complete Davey orientation and safety training upon hire. Compensation starts at $30+ per hour and a full benefits package is available.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Minimum of 5 years industry experience
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete orientation and safety courses on hire
• License or certificates preferred where state law requires

Responsibilities

• Climb trees and perform pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
• Operate with ground crew and crew leader to support tasks.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts) and ensure safety.
