Preble Street is hiring a part-time Client Support Staff for Elena’s Way in Portland, ME. The role involves outreach, direct services to clients, crisis intervention, and contributing to case management in a 24/7 trauma-informed shelter environment.

Job Location: Preble Street - PORTLAND, ME 04101, Elena’s Way, a Preble Street Wellness Shelter, provides shelter and intensive support services to 40 individuals experiencing homelessness and complex physical and mental health needs, in a 24-hour trauma-informed environment grounded in social work and medical best practices.
A Client Support Staff position with a part-time, 2nd shift schedule is currently available in this service-inclusive, client-centered shelter program. As part of the team providing comprehensive services to individuals accessing the Wellness Shelter, Elena’s Way Client Support Staff outreach and engage with clients, provide direct services and program coverage, maintain safety in program spaces, provide crisis intervention and support, and assist in case management activities.
The schedule for this part-time (20 hours/week) 2nd shift position is Wednesday to Saturday, 6:00pm to 11:00pm.
The hourly rate of pay for this part-time (20 hours/week) position is $23.82 per hour. As a direct service position in a 24/7 program, this position is eligible for shift differentials of $1.00 per hour for all hours actually worked between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00pm or $2.00 per hour for all hours actually worked between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.
