Preble Street in Portland, ME is hiring a 2nd Shift Caseworker for Florence House Shelter and Residential Program. This entry-level position supports clients through barriers to housing, building relationships, and delivering casework services.
You will report to the Florence House 2nd Shift Supervisor, work Sunday through Thursday 2:00pm–10:30pm, and contribute to client safety, program coverage, and crisis intervention in a 24/7 housing services setting.

Florence House provides services to Housing First Studio apartments and a 40-bed emergency shelter 24/7, 365 days a year. This position will work as a member of a team of caseworkers supporting clients through addressing their barriers to housing.
This position reports directly to Florence House 2nd Shift Supervisor. The primary role of this position is to build relationships with clients, provide casework services, provide program coverage, maintain client safety, monitor the security of the building, provide crisis intervention, and support, and assist clients in overcoming barriers to stable housing.
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 2:00pm-10:30pm
The hourly rate of pay for these full-time (40 hours/week) positions is $23.82 per hour. Direct service positions in 24/7 programs are also eligible for shift differentials of $1.00 per hour for all hours worked between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00pm.
