Job summary

Hub Group is seeking a Client Management Specialist I to be the primary day-to-day contact for customers within an assigned account group. You will act as the liaison between customers, warehouses, and carriers, successfully managing the supply chain needs of multiple accounts and delivering top-tier service.

After onboarding, you will assist with order creation, monitor and report order acceptance, processing, inventory integrity, and manage accessorial charges using Hub Group's transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or management preferred.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Experience with EDI processes, Web Tender Portals, and other applicable forms of electronic communication preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong working relationship with customer accounts and provide resolution of issues and concerns in a timely manner.
• Assess customer needs and develop/manage account specifications and procedures to ensure quality, efficiency, and profitability.
• Proactively manage daily order level data; recommend improvements and implement changes.
• Receive, analyze, and respond to a high volume of communication each day.
• Manage the order process flow to contract specifications.
• Ensure optimal delivery performance by selecting the best carrier and managing the tracking process.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; perform audits and track trends.
• Manage order acceptance, maintenance and accessorial management via email, phone, and Hub Group TMS.
• Offer alternative transport solutions by analyzing account metrics.
• Maximize profitability and On-Time Performance while controlling costs.
• Communicate with shipper/consignee on exceptions and resolutions.
• Assist Operations to maximize assets and reduce exposure to costs.
