Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at a client site in King, NC. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break.

You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques and ensure accurate data entry and specimen handling. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training; preferred candidates have 1 year of phlebotomy experience and excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Color blindness test clearance and ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
