Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at a client site in Hickory, NC. The position involves performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques and ensuring accurate patient data entry.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training/experience. Excellent customer service and the ability to travel between sites are valued, with a consistent Mon-Wed 8am-5pm schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
