Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist to join our team at a client site in Mount Airy, NC. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques, handling specimens for various tests, and accurate data entry with strong customer service skills.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and a phlebotomy certification or training, with preferred bilingual English/Spanish ability and willingness to travel to other sites if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed, reliable transportation.
