The Client Services Specialist provides excellent customer service to agents, insureds, claimants, and others contacting the Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies or the National Indemnity group of insurance companies. Responsibilities include directing callers and emails to the appropriate departments, providing contact information, and supporting various business units through daily workflow transactions such as handling misdirected emails, indexing, submission work, and basic correspondence.

This position will be based in Omaha, NE, with hybrid work eligibility after six months. Please note, this position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.

What will you do?
  1. CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Provide excellent customer service to agents, insureds, claimants, and others contacting our companies.
  2. UNDERWRITING SUBMISSION SUPPORT: Support Underwriting by processing submission steps, including indexing, preparing documents, and prioritizing tasks according to procedures.
  3. CUSTOMER INFORMATION UPDATING: Correct and update contact details in various systems as directed by Underwriting and Client Services teams.
  4. LOSS RUN REQUEST HANDLING: Process written requests from agents and insureds for policy loss runs following established procedures.
What are we looking for?
  • High school diploma or GED, plus two years of college or equivalent work experience.
  • At least one year of work experience.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Proficiency in operating personal computers and software such as Microsoft Office.
