Position Overview

The Client Services Specialist provides excellent customer service to agents, insureds, claimants, and others contacting the Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies or the National Indemnity group of insurance companies. Responsibilities include directing callers and emails to the appropriate department, providing contact information, supporting business units through workflow transactions such as email management, indexing, submission prep, and basic correspondence. This role is based in Omaha, NE, with hybrid work eligibility after six months. Note: this position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Support: Deliver exceptional service to agents, insureds, claimants, and contacts.
2. Underwriting Support: Assist underwriters by processing submission steps, indexing, preparing documents, and prioritizing tasks.
3. Customer Information Updates: Update address and contact info in systems as directed.
4. Loss Run Requests: Handle written requests for policy loss runs per procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus two years of college or equivalent work experience.
• At least one year of work experience.
• Proficiency in basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
