Qualifications

• 1–3 years of office experience required, preferably in a medical setting.
• Minimum 1 year of insurance and CPT4/ICD‑10 coding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency in Clinical Applications; training provided and competency expected within 30–60 days.

Role Description

The Client Services Representative provides office support at the front desk within the Hospital, Ambulatory, or other settings. The Representative ensures the timely and organized scheduling of patient appointments, collects patient insurance information, enters client data into the computer, and provides accurate financial information to clients. This position supports organizational goals by delivering quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1–3 years of office experience required, preferably in a medical setting.
• Insurance and coding experience: Minimum 1 year of insurance and CPT4/ICD‑10 coding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; training will be provided and competency expected within 30–60 days.

Performance Expectations

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.

Environment

Potential exposure to hazards and risks of the hospital environment, including infectious disease, hazardous substances, and injury. Periodic travel to other department locations is expected.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Department Director, Manager, or Nursing Leadership in other departments within the organization.
