Job summary

Componere Culinary and Events is expanding its Pepita Catering division in the Bay Area. We seek a leader to manage high-profile client relationships, coordinate catering logistics, and ensure top-quality, allergen-conscious menus.

This role requires overseeing multiple orders, coordinating with chefs, and maintaining superb service levels across Berkeley and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in demanding hospitality settings, a strong safety mindset, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Michelin-starred restaurants or similar where excellence is required.
• Attitude of caring about the quality of work, colleagues and clients.
• Proven experience managing catering logistics at scale with multiple orders and time-sensitive execution.
• Strong understanding of menu planning and dietary/allergen requirements.
• Excellent client-facing communication; calm, solutions-oriented, credible under pressure.
• Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe Manager) or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Comfort with scheduling tools and ability to track KPIs.
• Valid driver's license; willingness to travel across the Bay Area and Berkeley kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with high level clients to maintain strong relationships and satisfaction.
• Participate in prospective client meetings.
• Communicate client preferences and requests to chefs.
• Manage logistics including delivery timing and staff scheduling.
• Streamline operations and develop SOPs.
