The Department of Health and Welfare is hiring a Client Service Technician. Do you have personal or professional experience within or in support of programs serving youth and families and/or the child welfare team? This position supports case management teams by completing court ordered supervised visits for families and children in foster care. It is our goal to ensure positive interactions and bonding with parents/guardians and their children. This position is located in the Boise Office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Good knowledge of home sanitation and safety. Typically gained by completion of a health or home economics course covering home sanitation and safety or home schooling or training covering home sanitation and safety.
• Experience working with clients who may be behaviorally, socially, physically and/or mentally challenged. Typically gained by six months work experience in a hospital, nursing home, or similar environment, or as home healthcare provider, working with clients who are behaviorally, socially, physically, and/or mentally challenged.
• Experience observing and recording clients' behaviors, treatment responses, and progress. Typically gained by six months work experience charting or tracking client information in a professional care setting or through employment as a home healthcare provider.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Experience using ordinary home appliances and performing routine homemaking tasks. Typically gained by six months experience or completion of a home economics course.

A valid driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and meet eligibility requirements to drive a state vehicle.
