VCA Half Moon Bay Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team in Half Moon Bay. As the face of the practice, you will set the tone for patient and client interactions, greet visitors, manage appointments, explain fees, and support the team with exceptional service for pets and their owners.

The ideal candidate brings prior client service experience in a veterinary setting, strong communication skills, and a professional, caring demeanor.

• Prior experience in client service in a veterinary setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors, answering phones, and showing clients and their pets to exam rooms
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Making follow-up calls and reaching out to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Recommending and helping clients select products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
• Answering questions about products and services
• Managing electronic medical records, reports and correspondence

We're looking for a personable yet highly professional "service extraordinaire" to join us in delivering our mission to our clients and their pets.

Why We Need You

As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:

Essential Functions

• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering phones, and showing clients and their pets to exam rooms
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Making follow-up calls and reaching out to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Recommending and helping clients select products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)
• Answering questions about products and services
• Managing electronic medical records, reports and correspondence

Benefits

We offer competitive compensation, $22.00-$28.00/hr DOE along with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical/dental/vision and paid vacation (for F/T employees only), 401(k), generous personal pet care discounts and more!
