Client Service Coordinator
This position is open for a minimum of two weeks or until a sufficient pool of qualified applicants has been received. As a Client Service Coordinator (CSC), you will drive the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximize the productivity of the veterinary medical team, ensure efficient communication with associates and clients, and coordinate client and pet care in a welcoming and efficient manner, influencing clients to return and refer others.
Job Summary
The CSC's core responsibilities include recruiting new clients, maximizing pet visits, providing professional and exceptional service, educating clients about wellness plans and preventative care, managing documentation and finances, conducting administrative functions, and performing additional duties as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and route the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team.
- Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a productive and efficiently run hospital to support the needs of our wellness plan clients.
- Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times, including welcoming clients, ensuring they are comfortable, and educating them about pet health.
- Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs and hospital services.
- Assist incoming clients by completing documentation, entering pet information and history in the computer, using proper collars and tags, and ensuring prompt service.
- Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispensing prescription items as directed, selling retail products and scheduling future appointments.
- Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and following proper opening and closing procedures.
- Conduct administrative functions as necessary.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions
- Long periods at a computer.
- Confidence around pets (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles).
- Work may exceed 40 hours per week, including weekends and evenings.
- Reasonable mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language; sufficient ambulatory skills.
- Moderately high noise level.
- Physical requirements: stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, lift and carry up to 50lb; good hand‑eye coordination and visual acuity.
- Exposure to pets that may bite or scratch; occasional exposure to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, medicinal and controlled substances.
Experience, Education and/or Training
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties involving radiography. One year of related experience required (customer service preferred). Medical background (veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical) with medical terminology training is preferred.

Pay Range
The pay range for this role is $19.24 - $24.59 per hour, determined by candidate experience, skill level and education, and may vary by location or applicable minimum wage laws.
