Client Service Coordinator
Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Client Service Coordinator (CSC) to manage the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximize the productivity of the veterinary medical team, and provide exceptional service and communication to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Job Summary
The CSC drives client and pet flow through the hospital, ensures effective communication with associates and clients, maximizes team productivity, and coordinates care to create a welcoming and efficient environment.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and routing the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity.
- Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a productive and efficiently run hospital to support wellness plan clients.
- Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times, including welcoming clients, ensuring comfort, and educating on pet health.
- Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs, and hospital services.
- Assist incoming clients with documentation, entering pet information, using proper identification, and ensuring prompt service.
- Assist outgoing clients with instructions, invoices, dispensing prescriptions, selling retail products, and scheduling future appointments.
- Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and performing proper opening and closing procedures.
- Conduct administrative functions as necessary.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions
- Work at a computer for long periods.

- Work may require more than 40 hours per week, including weekends and evenings.

- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good hand‑eye coordination and visual acuity for keyboard use.
- Exposure to pets that may bite or scratch; occasional exposure to anesthesia, radiation, and controlled substances.
Experience, Education and/or Training
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 18 years old for radiography and radioactive exposure duties.
- One year of related customer service experience preferred.
- Medical background (veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical) with medical terminology training preferred.

Pay Range
$15.39 to $22.23 per hour (based on experience, skill level, and location).
