Job Summary
The Client Service Coordinator (CSC) drives the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary medical team, ensures good communication with associates and clients, and coordinates the care of clients and pets in a friendly, efficient manner, influencing clients to return and refer their friends and families.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc.
- Recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and route client and pet flow to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity.
- Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a productive and efficiently run hospital to support wellness plan clients.
- Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times by welcoming clients and pets, ensuring comfort, and educating them about their pet’s health.
- Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs and hospital services.
- Assist incoming clients by completing documentation, entering pet information and history, and ensuring prompt service.
- Assist outgoing clients by providing instructions, invoices, dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian’s instructions, selling retail products and scheduling future appointments.
- Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and following opening and closing procedures.
- Perform administrative functions as necessary.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

- Written and verbal communication proficiency in fluent English.

- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and specialized software.

- Special working conditions: ability to work long periods at a computer, confidence around pets, availability for more than 40 hours per week including weekends and evenings, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, good hand‑eye coordination, exposure to pets, anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards and medication.
- Education and training requirements: high school diploma or equivalent preferred; at least 18 years old for radiography duties; one year related customer service experience preferred; medical background with terminology training is preferred.
Experience, Education and Training

Pay Range
$16.16 – $20.66 hourly. The range reflects a general hiring range for the area; the specific rate is determined based on experience, skill level and education, and may vary depending on location or applicable minimum wage laws.
