Job summary

Kaizen CPAs + Advisors is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Illinois to own the day-to-day payroll experience for a group of clients and to build strong relationships with them. You will learn and apply payroll and HR technology to help clients maximize value from isolved and related tools.

You'll manage payroll submissions, ensure accuracy and timeliness, answer client questions, and collaborate with YPD HCM colleagues to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Payroll, customer service, accounting, HR, or related experience preferred.
• Experience dealing directly with business clients or managing multiple client relationships.
• Comfortable with numbers, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Willingness to learn new technology and work across multiple software systems.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Payroll software or HRIS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the payroll relationship for assigned clients from submission to completion.
• Process client payrolls accurately and on time.
• Review payroll information and resolve questions before processing.
• Respond to client questions and follow through until resolved.
• Build relationships with clients and learn how their businesses operate.
• Coach clients on the use of isolved and other payroll systems.
• Troubleshoot payroll, timekeeping, and software issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and client service.
• Maintain payroll notes and client documentation.
• Support time and attendance, payroll imports, and basic HR/ACA processes.
• Collaborate with YPD HCM teams to resolve client issues.
