The candidate will be responsible to manage existing customer relationships and driving growth with marquee biopharma clients primarily based out of the Americas region.
Location: New Jersey/New York City Metro
Key Responsibilities include:
- Sales experience – Candidate must have consultative sales experience, selling into C-suite and Board, from sales origination, opportunity management and contract execution
- Biopharma Experience – It is desirable for the candidate to have experience in account management for Biopharma clients in Strategy and Management Consulting, including Application Development (AD)/Application Management Services (AMS), Engineering Services, Digital and Analytics, Data and AI, Cloud, andBusiness Process Outsourcing (BPO). Having IT Infrastructure experience is desirable but not essential.
- Must understand the drug discovery and development life cycle.
- Client relationship management and business development:
- This high energy role will manage existing healthcare client relationships, expand services and build a diverse portfolio through the opportunity identification and management cycle.
- Biopharma space knowledge is essential for this role.
- Own the strategic agenda for the account as well as create and manage executive level connects between customer and HCL executive teams
- These accounts have aggressive growth potential through direct cross sell and upsell, and partnerships/alliances which the candidate must drive.
- Ability to understand industry trends and confidently engage in innovative and strategic partnership dialogue with senior-level client stakeholders
- Having sold and enabled solutions across diverse portfolio, including AD/AMS, Cloud, Digital and Analytics and Security
- Client delivery assurance:
- Solid understanding of Biopharma landscape
- Drive thought leadership to help address customer business challenges by liaising effectively with various solution and practice teams internally, to bring timely solutions to the customer
- Collaborate with all delivery stakeholders involved to ensure fulfilment of all commitments to the client
- Work closely with and manage/guide internal stakeholders in delivery, recruitment and other supporting functions to align on goals and deliver for the customer
- Account planning and governance:
- Create strategic roadmap and account plan to drive growth within the account/portfolio and execute that plan to drive new opportunities, incremental revenue, manage and grow customer relationships, and driving opportunity discussions
- Engage with horizontal and solution teams to proactively identify improvement/opportunity areas – cross-selling business unit solutions to the client
- Expand HCLTech’s footprint by developing and driving creative solutions that solve business problems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
- 10-20+ years’ experience in selling and leading complex and business transformation programs, enabled through technology, Data and AI
- Hands-on experience with opportunity origination, proposal development, leading leadership-level presentations that result in growth
- Proven record of rapidly scaling up revenues consistently and Y-o-Y growth
- Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and leadership ability
- Track record of interacting and building relationships with C-level client contacts
- Experience in the Biopharma industry
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple activities in a very dynamic, changing environment
- Ability to maintain consistent on-site presence at client corporate headquarters and travel globally periodically according to client needs
- Account financial management, lead generation and ensuring CSA
