Job summary

Valitana seeks a Software Engineer to build client-facing solutions on Vantage, working with clients, product managers, and stakeholders to translate real-world requirements into production-ready implementations.

You will own end-to-end onboarding delivery, develop third-party data integrations, and configure client-facing reports and workflows, while collaborating with Client Services to reduce escalations.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally including work delivering solutions to external clients.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Ability to work through ambiguous requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Resourceful with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in the financial industry, particularly with structured finance products, trade flow, or portfolio data, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver client solutions, collaborating with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, maintainable implementations.
• Develop and maintain third-party data integrations, including parsers for ingesting client and vendor data.
• Build and configure client-facing reports and workflows within Vantage.
• Configure and support FIX Gateway connectivity for client trade flow.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues, tracing problems to their source and implementing durable fixes.
• Contribute feature enhancements to core Vantage, strengthening the platform for all clients.
• Serve as a technical resource to the Client Services team, reducing escalations to the broader dev team.
• Document integrations, configurations, and resolutions for onboarding knowledge.
