Job summary

Suncoast Center in St. Petersburg, FL seeks an Intake Specialist to be the primary contact for new clients. You will gather, verify, and enter information into the EMR, support onboarding, and coordinate with teams to ensure timely follow-up.

The role requires 21+ years of age, a BA degree in human services or related field with experience, strong communication, and crisis management skills. This is a full-time, onsite position with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• BA degree required in human services or BA in non-human service field with over 1 year experience with target population

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and communicate clearly over the phone and in person.
• Screen individuals seeking services and determine program eligibility.
• Schedule intake appointments and complete enrollments in the EMR system.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data entry in Avatar for each contact.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support client onboarding and follow-up actions.
• Refer clients to appropriate services and resources in the community.
• Follow up on pending client issues and ensure timely responses.
• Comply with organizational policies, privacy, and security standards.
