BayCare Health Systems is seeking an Intake Specialist to join our team at the BayCare Behavioral Health Center in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on providing emergency psychiatric evaluations and coordinating services across departments.

The ideal candidate will hold BLS certification, have a High School diploma (Bachelor's preferred in related field or psychology), and at least 1 year of relevant experience or a related degree.

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• High School or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field or psychology.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field; Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
• 1 year of psychology-related experience or a related degree may substitute for experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide emergency psychiatric evaluations in the hospital's Emergency Center.
• Handle requests for psychiatric services from agencies, individuals, or departments.
• Maintain statistics related to Intake Services.
• Provide clinical reviews for managed care organizations when not involved with E.C. responsibilities.
• Provide basic psychiatric care to adult and geriatric patients on Inpatient units.

Intake Specialist Position Details:

• Facility: BayCare Behavioral Health Center
• Location: Tampa, FL
• Status: Full time, Hourly
• Shift Hours: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Weekend Work: Every Other
• On Call: No

Intake Specialist Responsibilities

• Provide emergency psychiatric evaluations for all persons of all ages in the Hospital's Emergency Center.
• Handle all requests for all psychiatric services from other agencies, individuals or other departments.
• Maintain statistics related to Intake Services.
• Provide clinical reviews for managed care organizations when not involved with E.C. responsibilities.
• Provide basic psychiatric care to adult and geriatric patients on Inpatient psychiatric units.

Required Certification/Licensures

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Education

• High School or Equivalent
• Preferred - Bachelors - Related Field; Preferred - Bachelors - Psychology

Required Experience

• 1 year – Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related field in lieu of experience
