Job summary

BayCare Health Systems is seeking an Intake Specialist to join the BayCare Behavioral Health Center in Tampa, FL. This full-time, hourly role supports emergency psychiatric evaluations, service requests, and performance metrics within the hospital's intake services.

The position requires a Level II screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• 1 year of Psychology experience or a related field in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency psychiatric evaluations for all ages in the Emergency Center.
• Handle requests for psychiatric services from agencies, individuals, or other departments.
• Maintain statistics related to Intake Services.

Intake Specialist Position Details

• Facility: BayCare Behavioral Health Center
• Location: Tampa, FL
• Status: Full time, Hourly
• Shift Hours: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Weekend Work: Every Other
• On Call: No

Intake Specialist Responsibilities

• Provide emergency psychiatric evaluations for all persons of all ages in the Hospital's Emergency Center.
• Handle all requests for all psychiatric services from other agencies, individuals or other departments.
• Maintain statistics related to Intake Services.
• Provide clinical reviews for managed care organizations when not involved with E.C. responsibilities.
• Provide basic psychiatric care to adult and geriatric patients on Inpatient psychiatric units.

Required

Certification/Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
