Job summary

Guardian Life is seeking a Client Manager Associate in the Premier Market to manage a client book of business in the 2-99 life space with a focus on persistency, growth, and profitability. You will collaborate with brokers, clients, and Guardian partners to deliver renewal strategies, add-issue opportunities, and competitive plan options.

You will analyze reports, present quotes, and negotiate with underwriters to optimize outcomes for small groups.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree preferred; work experience may be considered
• 3–5 years of insurance industry experience, preferably in a sales environment
• Experience servicing brokers/producers/customers
• Strong customer service acumen and consultative negotiation skills
• Solid knowledge of group insurance products and underwriting principles

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with brokers/producers/plan holders for groups with less than 100 enrolled lives
• Interpret, deliver, and communicate renewals and add issue quotes to clients
• Review experience and utilization reports with Sales Reps for small groups and deliver reports
• Identify add issue opportunities for small groups and generate quotes
• Provide renewal rate relief through negotiations with underwriting and generate plan options
• Serve as subject matter expert on Guardian systems, capabilities, products, and workflows
