Job summary

ChoiceOne Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a Universal Banker for the Grand Rapids market. You will deliver exemplary service, process transactions, and build client relationships by recommending deposit, loan, and related banking products.

You will drive sales through a disciplined approach, obtain referrals, and educate customers across bank services while adhering to security and regulatory requirements in a branch setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months cash handling experience preferred.
• One year of customer service in banking, financial services or goal-driven retail sales preferred.
• Successful completion of ChoiceOne’s Retail Advancement Program (RAP).
• NMLS license is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer challenges.
• Educate customers on consumer deposit and lending products.
• Drive sales using a disciplined sales process and banking technology.
• Obtain referrals and deepen relationships across bank areas.
• Adhere to operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate sound judgement in sales, service, banking, investments and lending.
• Process day-to-day customer transactions as needed.
• Open new personal and business accounts in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Comply with BSA and USA PATRIOT Act reporting requirements.
• Comply with federal and state banking regulations as applicable.
