Job summary

Columbia Bank in Sutherlin, OR is seeking a Teller to be the first point of contact for clients. You will perform transactions, ensure accuracy, and follow bank procedures while building client relationships through meaningful conversations.

Under the guidance of the Branch Manager, you will identify opportunities to offer bank products, support risk controls, and stay current on product offerings. This onsite role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with written numbers, words, and verbal and written instructions.
• Consistently demonstrates ability and willingness to build relationships with clients and other bank associates.

Responsibilities

• Always performs teller transactions and cash handling with accuracy and confidentiality (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.).
• Maintains the branch's integrity with daily tasks (ATM balancing, deposits, handling notices, etc.).
• Mitigate risk by safekeeping cash and prompt accounting or transfer of funds.
• Interacts with clients, anticipates needs, and provides proactive solutions aligned with service standards.
• Continuously deepens knowledge of Columbia Bank products and services.
• Discusses customer financial needs to identify and offer appropriate products and services.
• Supports referral goals for the branch by referring basic products to the appropriate business partner.
