Job summary

The Arc of Alachua County in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Document Destruction Route Driver/DSP to serve Gone4Ever customers while providing Life Skills Development support to clients with developmental disabilities. You will transport, load and unload, and securely manage confidential materials daily.

Key duties include following each client’s plan, maintaining safety, documenting notes in the HR/Client Records system, and communicating closely with supervisors and families.

Qualifications

• Possession of high school diploma.
• 1 year of experience with developmentally disabled or related field preferred; college may substitute.
• Current Florida driver license with Qualified Driver status.

Responsibilities

• Reports vehicle maintenance problems to supervisor.
• Operates vehicle safely to minimize risk of injury and damage.
• Maintains security when handling consoles/containers and retrieves documents.
• Ensures accuracy of console/container types and quantities.
• Manages routes to service confidential materials promptly and accurately.
• Escalates customer problems to supervisor and responds professionally.
