Job summary

Northeast Arc Heritage Shredding is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler II/Driver to join our Day Services team in Danvers, MA. This position handles secure destruction of customer documents per NAID standards and provides safe transportation for individuals served.

The role supports daily warehouse and shredding operations, equipment maintenance, and shipping/receiving activities in a warehouse environment with a strong emphasis on safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in warehouse, shipping, logistics, or material handling encouraged.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate shredding machinery while following documented safety procedures.
• Keep shredding machinery and equipment in safe condition; report malfunctions to the Program Manager.
• Ensure non-shredded materials stay secure and confidential at all times.
• Follow HIPAA requirements and 'Nothing Leaves' procedures to protect client confidentiality.
• Operate balers according to instructions and safety requirements.
• Complete shredding pickups, hard drive destruction, and destruction of other electronic media.
• Transport Shredding Associates safely to and from program locations as assigned.
• Adhere to Northeast Arc policies, procedures, and state vehicle operation laws.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
