Job summary

Waste Management in Moorpark, CA seeks a Route Driver to provide secure document destruction services, loading/unloading, and safe transport in compliance with laws. 4x10 shifts with early start times; compensation is $23.50 per hour.

The role emphasizes route management, on-site/off-site destruction, and strong safety discipline. Minimum high school education and a valid driver’s license with a clean record are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience, preferably in driving box trucks and route management.
• Current, personal driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site/off-site document destruction of confidential information.
• Completes pre/post-trip checks and driver check-in on the assigned truck.
• Operates company equipment safely to minimize risk of injury and damage.
• Complies with local, state, and federal laws and DOT logs as applicable.
• Maintains security by ensuring containers are locked and documents are retrieved.
• Serves accounts using handheld devices, keeps locations up to date and accurate.
• Manages routes to ensure timely and accurate service of confidential material.
• Addresses customer problems promptly and in the best interest of the client and Shred-it.
