Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 12 months previous client service experience preferred.
• Previous cash-handling experience required.
• Previous banking experience strongly preferred.
• NLMS registration preferred.
• Developed customer service skills, including written and verbal communication.
• Ability to use a PC and alpha/numeric keyboard.
• Flexible work week schedule, which may include Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent client service by opening new accounts and other products for current clients and new clients.
• Expanding the use of online banking and other delivery systems.
• Identifying borrowing needs and assisting with loan applications.
• Increasing sales and cross-sell opportunities through events and calls.
• Greeting clients courteously and maintaining relationships.
• Processing client transactions such as deposits and withdrawals.
• Assuring branch compliance through audits, security procedures and reports.
• Balancing cash drawers and reporting discrepancies to management.
• Coaching Banking Specialist I on products and procedures.
• Referring clients to appropriate areas to achieve branch sales goals.
• Prospecting for new accounts and following up on leads and referrals.
• Cultivating relationships with store associates to drive business.
• Participating in community service to support CRA goals.
