Job summary

First Bank is seeking a Banking Specialist I to serve as the front-line contact, handling client interactions and transactions with a focus on accuracy and service.

You will support client satisfaction, explain digital banking options, and refer clients to appropriate departments, while maintaining security and regulatory standards. Flexible schedule including Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months client service experience preferred.
• Previous cash-handling experience required.
• Previous banking experience strongly preferred.
• NLMS registration preferred.
• Developed customer service skills, including written and verbal communication.
• Ability to use a PC and alpha/numeric keyboard.
• Flexible work week schedule, which may include Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients warmly and by name when possible to support a friendly culture.
• Process client transactions accurately and expeditiously (deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing).
• Explain Online Banking, Online Bill Pay, ATM network, Debit Card, and Client Contact Center.
• Follow security, regulatory and audit procedures and balance drawers daily.
• Maintain basic product knowledge through training and communications.
• Identify sales opportunities and refer clients to appropriate areas to meet needs.
• Cultivate relationships with clients and store associates to drive branch profitability.
