Job summary

Citizens Bankers serve as the friendly face of the branch, delivering trusted advice and building lasting relationships with customers. They help with spending, saving, borrowing, and investing needs, using strong communication and problem-solving skills to tailor financial solutions.

They guide clients toward digital channels, collaborate with partners in Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking, and conduct outbound calls to grow the customer base and schedule financial checkups.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals.
• Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship.
• Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions.
• Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals.
• Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues.
• Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration.
• Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
• Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations and assist customers with financial solutions across spending, saving, borrowing, and investing.
• Highlight tailored financial plans based on customers' goals.
• Promote digital and mobile banking channels and help customers use them.
• Collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage and Business Banking partners for complex needs.
• Make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkups.
• Adhere to all financial policies, including cash handling and regulatory requirements.
