Job summary

First Interstate Bank in Rapid City, SD East branch is seeking a Teller to handle daily teller transactions in lobby and drive-up locations while delivering outstanding client service and building client relationships.

The role includes processing deposits/payments, assisting with cross-sell opportunities, and maintaining accuracy with cash handling. Training and growth opportunities are part of the bank’s commitment to employee development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a cash handling role preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits and loan payments, cash checks, and process savings withdrawals.
• Record night and mail deposits and redeem savings bonds.
• Answer client questions in person and by phone.
• Identify cross-sell/referral opportunities and direct clients to a banker.
• Record activities and referrals using 360View and process consumer credit card applications.
• Perform duties such as closing accounts, ordering checks, foreign currency exchanges, and safe-deposit box procedures.
